Chameleon Mini is a hand-held sewing machine with a new concept. It can be quite difficult to find a thread that matches the color of the original thread when the button on your shirts is untied. Chameleon Mini is a concept design that effectively solves these problems. After extracting the color of the existing thread, the white thread of the cartridge is dyed with the extracted color. Through this process, we want to make clothing last longer and contribute to the user experience through simple scenarios and fun elements without the need to visit a repair shop.

Chameleon Mini는 새로운 개념의 핸디형 미싱기입니다. 당신 옷의 단추에서 실이 풀어졌을 때 원래 실의 색상과 딱 맞는 실을 구하는 것은 상당히 어려운 일입니다. Chameleon Mini는 이러한 문제점을 효과적으로 해결하고자 하는 컨셉 디자인입니다. 기존 실의 색을 추출한 뒤 카트리지의 흰색 실을 추출한 색상으로 염색시킵니다. 이런 과정을 통해 의류를 더 오래입을 수 있고, 수선집에 방문할 필요 없이 간단한 시나리오와 재미 요소를 통해 사용자 경험에 기여하고자 합니다.

All you need is a white thread
There is no need to prepare various threads. This is because if you have a cartridge of white thread, the product can extract the color of the old thread that has fallen off the button and dye it.

Extract the color of the thread

Dyeing after extraction
After the color is extracted, the yarn in the white cartridge is dyed. With the dyed thread, you can mend it with a thread of the same color as the thread originally wound on your button.

Easy to change the cartridge
The cartridge that protrudes from the front of the product can be easily removed and replaced efficiently. It is equipped with four cartridges based on CMYK color and is easily accessible for replacement via a slight pull.
